Open Call Tunisian Artist in Residence March 2026

Mouhit is opening its new round of Artist-in-Residence Program for Tunisia based artists of diverse ages, backgrounds, and disciplines. It provides an opportunity for artists at all levels of their career to work in a space that favors experimentation over outcome.
Through this program, we aim to grant artists access to materials, welcome them to engage in our thematically specific programs, offer them support from mentors and connect them with our broader network. At the end of the residency, artists are encouraged to share their work with the public through open studios, an exhibition or any other format of their choice.
For this round one artists will be selected to cohabit the residency space with other international artist, hence we encourage artists to apply with an openness to exchange or collaborate.
Space
Mouhit Space is a three-story residence located in Menzah 1, featuring a large garden. It offers a private, fully furnished bedroom with a double bed, desk, free Wi-Fi, and a shared bathroom. Residents have access to a bright, sunny shared workspace with a large work table, as well as a versatile outdoor area.
Common areas include a fully equipped kitchen, bathroom, and restroom. A sound studio is also available upon request. The shared spaces are designed to foster collaboration and communication among guests and residents, encouraging the exchange of ideas and creative synergy.
The spacious garden and outdoor work areas accommodate a variety of production processes and can also be used as exhibition spaces. The house, along with the peaceful neighborhood, provides an ideal environment for reflection, experimentation, and creation—whether an artist is focused on research or production.
